After The Closing ...
Shortly after the last service, some of the contents and furnishings found new homes where they were to continue to carry on a purpose in ministry.
Various items have gone to the other congregations of the Rose Bay Lutheran Parish including the piano to St. John's By The Sea in Feltzen South, and the church clock and the furnace to St. Matthew's in Rose Bay.

The Christ Candle and brass stand are now at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Rhodes Corner.

Calvary Lutheran Church in Middlewood is now the home of the altar brass (candlesticks, cross, and book stand), offering plates, two presider's chairs, baptismal font (the newer one), communion set, choir gowns and various other items.

The Altar is now in use at the Christian Retreat in Pleasantville.

The Allen digital organ is now in the chapel at the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home in Lunenburg. You can see it to the right at the front in this picture: www.sweenyfuneralhome.ca
On May 4, 2008 a dedication service was held at Grace Lutheran Church, Caldwell Road in Dartmouth for a number of items that have found a new home there (see pictures below.) Among the items dedicated are the old Baptismal font, the Lectern, the two Hymn Boards, and a Book Case (not shown). This baptismal font is the original one from the old Union Church and is over 100 years old. It had not been used after a newer one was donated in 1947 and over the years the varnish had turned quite black. It has been completely refinished by a member of Grace Lutheran to the beautiful condition you see here. (The brass bowl and pitcher were not part of the original font.)

October 2009 Update
It's been four years since the congregation disbanded. The building had been up for sale for some time. Just a few weeks ago in early September a buyer was found and the building was sold. Please select the "A New Beginning" menu button above for further information (or click here.)
