Pictures
This page contains two slide shows. They may take a few moments to load. Slides will advance on their own or you use the buttons to move forward or back at your own pace.
I took a number of these pictures following the last service in 2005. (There are 16 pictures in this slide show.)
Some other pictures below were provided courtesy of Dan Hennessy of Exit Realty Inter Lake. He had the listing while the building was for sale. They were taken in 2008 at which time some of the contents had been removed (see the "After The Closing" page) and the exterior paint is showing some deterioriation. (There are 9 pictures in this slide show.)
These are two post cards that were issued by The Book Room, Halifax.

This picture was on a 1998 calendar produced in the USA. The calendar featured a picture of a different church for each month and St. Mark's was "February". What's even more interesting is that out of twelve churches featured, all of the other eleven were in the USA - St. Mark's was the only Canadian church!

The following three pictures are available in the picture book "Lunenburg County" by Terry James (Nimbus Publishing, 1991) (Sorry, you will have to buy the book for a full size view of these!)
If you can't find it in your local book store, there were some available at Amazon.ca or Amazon.com.
There is also a nice aerial view of the church on the home page of Trellis House (Nov 26/11 - This link is no longer working - web site seems to have disappeared.)
Here are some pictures of souvenir items . The anniversary plate marked the 100th anniversary of the congregation in 1987. And a wood plaque hand painted by Don Wamboldt.

Service Book and Hymnal
Published in 1958, the Service Book and Hymnal is the predecessor of the Lutheran Book of Worship. This is the book used during most of the years I attended St. Mark's.

Lutheran Book of Worship
Published in 1978, the Lutheran Book of Worship (LBW) has been the primary worship resource. This single volume — affectionately known as "The Green Book" — contains worship liturgies as well as a complete hymnal. This book was used for a short time before I moved away.

With One Voice
Published in 1995. With over one million copies in use, With One Voice was a standard resource in a majority of Lutheran congregations. Contains over 200 hymns, songs and pieces of service music.
A new book, Evangelical Lutheran Worship, was published in 2006 however St. Mark's was no longer in existence by that time.
